From Vision to Reality: Creating Calm Harbor Placements

All business owners know that starting a new venture can be both exciting and challenging. Today, we’re thrilled to highlight the journey of one such entrepreneur, Nancy Haberman, a seasoned professional in geriatric care, who was ready to launch her own elder placement services business in East King County, Washington.

Nancy’s vision was clear: to support seniors and their families by leveraging her extensive knowledge of local adult family homes and establishing strong partnerships with local assisted living centers and similar facilities. However, like many new business owners, she faced the daunting task of creating a compelling brand strategy, developing a visual identity, and building a website from scratch.

Join us as we walk through Nancy’s inspiring journey with Rinehart Marketing, where we helped her bring her vision to life through a detailed and thoughtful process, resulting in the successful launch of her business, Calm Harbor Placements.

Initial Consultation

We met with Nancy for a discovery call in which we gathered insights about her needs, goals, and vision. After this, we developed detailed recommendations based on our assessment of her business needs. We sent her our recommendations and she decided to move forward and work with us.

Brand Strategy Development

In the next phase, we worked closely with Nancy to clearly define her business’s purpose, mission, vision, values, target audience, competition, personality, and unique selling proposition. Through our “branding essentials” process, we facilitated the development of the perfect business name and distilled these efforts into a comprehensive brand strategy document.

Visual Identity Creation

We developed a visual identity that spoke to Nancy’s target audience with clean, clear elements, readable fonts, and a soothing color palette. We drew inspiration from the San Juan Islands, which are meaningful to Nancy, with an ocean-inspired palette. The imagery of a calm harbor, from her business name, helped inspire elements of the logo and the images chosen for her website. Special care was taken to create variations of her logo and brand elements that would be versatile for different uses, including printed materials, which we applied when designing CHP’s brochure and business card. At the end of the process, we provided the image files, in multiple formats suited for different uses, along with a robust brand guide outlining how to use each element.

Web Design

We designed the website to be easy to navigate and clear in purpose. Carefully considering the needs of the target audience, Kristi used her website wizardry to create a beautiful and responsive site that not only conveys the business’s message effectively but is also optimized for search engines, ensuring maximum visibility.

Final Product

The brand strategy, visual identity, and website have positioned Calm Harbor Placements for future growth. The business has a solid plan for moving forward at a sustainable pace which includes many avenues to explore as the business grows. A beautiful, versatile visual identity distinguishes the business from competitors and provides possibilities for many uses, from social media to business cards and take-home materials.

We received this testimonial from our satisfied client:

Kristi and Cara were very easy to work with in creating my Calm Harbor Placement brand identity and digital presence. They gave me homework that pushed me to think of things I never would have thought about in regard to the presentation of my marketing information, and the result was a lovely brochure and a very beautiful and user-friendly website. They continue to guide me and push me to explore marketing strategies. They are a great team.
